Facility Regulations
OELC hopes that your function will be a productive event for those in attendance. To ensure that your delegates have a safe and satisfying visit, we ask that you abide by the following rules and regulations:
- Furniture will remain in its respective building, any movement can only be done by the Resource Manager.
- Only the cabins and buildings assigned to your group will be used.
- Parking will be restricted to the upper parking area. Vehicles will not be driven on grassed areas at any time.
- OELC has a NO SMOKING POLICY in all work, washroom, meeting and food services areas. Smoking outside will be restricted to designated smoking areas only.
- No alcoholic beverages will be allowed while minors (19 year and under) are in attendance at OELC. Alcoholic beverages will only be consumed IN cabins assigned for your overnight accommodation.
- Adult groups will be responsible for the removal of all evidence of alcoholic beverages prior to leaving the Centre. Clean up charges, if necessary, will be levied.
- For school groups, the staff/student ratio of 1:12 or less will be maintained.
- The contact person signing the agreement will be responsible for the supervision of the site and the users.
- Your organization will compensate OELC for any loss, breakage or other damage to OELC property by members of your group.
- The use, security and protection of personal equipment will be the sole responsibility of your organization.
- You will provide OELC with a complete list of delegates in attendance with the cabin name or number in which they are residing.
- You will not bring pets onto the property.
- You will respect a 4:00 p.m. check in time for cabins and 2:00 p.m. for meeting rooms. Variations must be authorized by management.
- You will vacate sleeping quarters by 9:00 a.m. and meeting rooms by 12:00 noon. Space can be provided to store luggage on departure days.
- You will not have unsupervised swims. All swimming programs must be approved by management.
- You will not tamper with fire fighting equipment.
- You will not enter out of bounds areas unless there is an emergency.
- The use of the Ontario Educational Leadership Centre will be for the not for profit purposes of your organization.
- You agree to protect OELC against any and all claims which may be filed against it. To this end, proof of liability insurance will be produced by all non school groups.
