OELC is very fortunate to have a committed and knowledgeable volunteer board of directors. The membership of the board for our not-for-profit centre represents various stakeholders from across the province including educators, francophones, business, parents, alumni and OELC facilitators.
The board meets regularly through the year to work through its many functions: providing direction and support to the leadership program at OELC, refining and reviewing the mission and shared vision of the Centre, formulating and evaluating policy, overseeing fiscal affairs, and liaising with government and educational partners.
The board of directors works to ensure that OELC ontributes to student success in the following unique ways:
- We are an innovator in leadership development looking at all students, not just those who are already performing;
- We take students where they imagine they might not have imagined they could go;
- We imagine possibilities and realize potential to show leadership. We have a responsibility to do that.
The following is a list of the Board members. The thousands of students who have benefited from their OELC experience thank them for their caring and committed work.
